West Point on the Eno Classes Celebrate National Homesteading Month

In honor of National Homesteading Month, West Point on the Eno is offering three classes:

Felted Hat Making ( #9004); Saturday, September 8, 10 a.m.-4 p.m.       
Students will create wonderful, durable, and unique felted hats using an authentic style, antique reproduction, and wooden hat form. (CR PC $50, CR NPC $55, NCR PC $60, NCR NCP $65)

Welcome to Bee Keeping # 9012Saturday, September 22 10 a.m.-12 p.m.
The relationship between bees and mankind is one of the longest in our history.  We will explore some of this rich history and learn a little about what makes bees so fascinating, as well as some of the basics of beekeeping.  (CR PC $0, CR NPC $1, NCR PC $0, NCR NCP $2)

High Acid Canning # 9005Sunday, September 301 p.m.-5 p.m.                                 
Canning fruits and vegetables can be a rewarding experience.  Students will learn the basics of canning with home- grown tomatoes from Bull City Farm.  (CR PC $33, CR NPC $36, NCR PC $43, NCR NCP $46)
