Getting Dirty with Durham County Master Gardeners Radio Show  –

MARCH 3 – Our gardens are starting to wake up and there’s lots to do.  Visit Art in Bloom at the NCMA or the JC Raulston Arboretum where you will find children’s  and citizen scientist programs starting up.  Take steps now to prevent diseases getting a hold of your garden later in the season.  When animals lose their jobs they become extinct —meet some people who are trying to preserve our domestic animals.  We wrap up this month with a cautionary tale of murder. 2:00pm on WCOM 103.5

MARCH 4 -On March 19-22 the NC Museum of Art will host its inaugural festival of arts and flowers.  This event brings together the museum’s collection, nearly 50 floral designers, workshops, speakers, and childrens’ events to explore the intersection of art and flowers. Lise Jenkins talks Laura Finan who is coordinating the festival and Jennifer Hicks the museum’s special events designer. 2:00pm on WCOM 103.5  Can be heard live or replayed any time at http://gettingdirtyradioshow.org

Please hope for better weather!
