On Saturday, April 7, 2018, 8 am to noon, Durham County Extension Master Gardener Volunteers will be selling “backyard treasures” – plants they have grown in their own gardens and have divided to share with other North Carolina gardeners – at the Duke Garden’s 2018 Spring Plant Sale. They have also started plants from seeds, including many varieties of heirloom tomatoes.
Plants sold in the Master Gardener booth will include pollinator plants, native plants, deer-resistant plants, shade and sun plants, herbs and vegetables, and house plants. Here’s the plant list: 2018 plant list. Master Gardeners will be on hand during the sale to answer your gardening questions.
Members of Duke Gardens can shop at the members-only sale from Friday, April 6, 2018, 4 – 6 pm. Membership may be purchased on site. Sarah P. Duke Gardens is located at 420 Anderson St., Durham, N.C. Admission and parking is free during the sale.
