Will we see you at the Fair?

Durham Extension Master Gardener Volunteers will be at the NC State Fair on October 18th and 26th. If you happen to visit the fair on those days, stop by the garden areas to say hello to some of my wonderful colleagues. They’ll be happy to answer any questions you might have. If you’re not visiting the fair on either of those days, don’t worry – Master Gardener Volunteers from other counties will be on hand.

Vote for Briggs Avenue Community Garden!

Toxic Free NC is giving away a free Beehive to one NC Community Garden.  We have been nominated as one of the potential winners of the hive.  In addition to the hive, the winner will receive training on managing the hive.  To win, the Briggs Ave Community Garden will need to receive the most votes.  Please consider voting for our garden.  By going to the link listed below.  Please also share this link with friends and family and tell them to vote for our garden so that our gardeners can enjoy the benefits of having a bee hive and honey.

The Briggs Avenue Community Garden is a partnership with N.C. Children, Youth, and Families at Risk (CYFAR), Cooperative Extension, the Master Gardener program, and members of the community. It is located on Briggs Avenue here in Durham. Please take a look at their blog, vote for Briggs Avenue, and share this with others!
