New Radio Show – Getting Dirty with Durham County Extension Master Gardeners

Do you like to Get Dirty in the garden? Then join Durham County Extension Master Gardener Volunteers Lise Jenkins, Harold Johnson, and Charles Murphy as they hit the airwaves.

You will now have the opportunity to get dirty on the local radio airwaves with the launch of “Getting Dirty with Durham County Extension Master Gardeners,” a 30-minute weekly talk radio program on Carrboro’s WCOM, 103.5 FM. The show will air live on Tuesdays at 2 p.m. beginning June 3, 2014, and feature pertinent horticultural topics for getting dirty in the garden:

  • What’s going on in your garden this week
  • Interviews with Triangle Area experts
  • Plant profiles
  • Special Events for the Public

Each show will be saved in podcast form for listeners to access throughout the year along with related data sheets and helpful references from the North Carolina Cooperative Extension Office. The show may be found at this website gettingdirtyradioshow.org.
