Getting Dirty with Durham County Master Gardeners Radio Show  –
Broadcasts Tuesdays at 2:00pm on WCOM 103.5 July 15 – Gardeners Fair, Growing Beautiful Grass in the Piedmont. Our host, Harold Johnson reminds us that tonight is the Gardeners Fair at the Duke Gardens.  The Enthusiastic Gardener, Charles Murphy tells us about growing a summer favorite —squash, and Lise Jenkins learns about lawns in the Piedmont.

Durham Garden Forum Gardner’s Fair is just around the corner, Tuesday, July 15, 6:30 to 8:00 PM at the Doris Duke Center, Sarah P. Duke Gardens.  Parking is free. There will be many excellent raffle items throughout the event so don’t miss this one.This event is open to all and free.
Honey Extraction:
There will be a Honey Extraction Demonstration Workshop for those interested on Thursday, July 24, from 10am-12pm at 721 Foster Street.  Our very own, Durham Extension Master Gardener and Beekeeper, Richard Urich will demonstrate extracting honey from the Briggs Ave Community Garden hive.  This is free – but space is limited.  Register with Pana a prjones2@ncsu.edu .  See the attached flier.
