Decking your Containers for the Holidays
If you’re looking out the window on this warm, rainy December day and wondering what ELSE you can embellish before Christmas arrives – or, like me, you spy some worn out garland and crinkled bows on the porch railing and think “Next year, I’ll step up the decorating outside”, this post may be the inspiration you need.
EMGV Leanna Murphy Dono shared the following photos of outdoor holiday decor without a single crumpled bow or string of lights. These elegant displays are stunning, but simple enough for the average homeowner to try.
First, these photos were taken in Charleston SC, Nov. 2010. I love the simplicity of the blue-green succulents with blue ornaments.
The next group were taken at Fearrington House in 2012
Sprigs of holly give a Christmas feeling to year-round displays.
This vertical planter is gorgeous!
To get the look at home, try adding some ornaments or cut greenery to your existing planters. It’s not too late! Cut some greenery today for a display that will last through Christmas.
